Wix Tutorial: Drop Down Menus

I unfortunately have seen people on Wix using the drop down menus Wix "sort of" provides. To be honest, the are ghastly. Your website needs brilliant navigation, without good navigation you will have people leaving your site, your visitors will get confused. In this tutorial, you will know how to make a top horizontal menu bar with drop down.

Step one
Everything you know about menus, get rids of them.

Step one plus one
Go to the "add" tile > clip art > shapes. In the shapes page, click on "Basic" in the left side menu. In that menu choose the square.

Step four subtract one
Now that you have your square (blue box with transparent border), you can start with the menu bar. Make the square in the ratios you desire, but usually along the top, and extending across the full website. To make it the color you want, click on color under the shape menu. Then you can make it what you wish.

Step two plus two
Contemplate a new seating posture.

Step the last one plus one
Back to the add menu, find page parts > page groups. Choose the only one on that page, make sure to delete the text it comes with. With the text, I just told you to add to your menu, align your drop down menu with the text centered. Make the width to fit in between the text on both sides and the length to how many links you believe you'll have.

Step half of ten
Start on page two of the page group. You can really do what ever you want here, like creating a square and having a drop down like that, or have no square at all and just text. Add text links to  pages in the page group.

Step 3!
You now need to link everything. Click on your menu text that you have chosen for your drop down, then link.

Step 2(3.5)
You may want multiple drop downs, so all you have to do is right click on the page group and "duplicate". Align the page group to your menu, then change the texts to fit the content.
